'This lushly illustrated tome serves as a major resource for researchers interested in cubism' - Library Journal

A beautifully illustrated volume telling the story of Cubism through twenty-two essays and works drawn from the most significant private holding of Cubist art in the world today, the Leonard A. Lauder Collection

The eighty works featured in this catalogue to a 2014/5 exhibition at the Met are among the most important and visually arresting in the movement’s history. These masterpieces, critical to the development of Cubism, include Braque’s Trees at L’Estaque, considered one of the very first Cubist pictures; Picasso’s Still Life with Fan: Gris’s The Man at the Café, one of his most celebrated collages; and Léger’s uniquely ambitious Composition (The Typographer).

The catalogue won a AAMC Award for Excellence in 2014 and the Henry Allen Moe Prize in 2015.
