'This book provides many delights as well as insights into the creative mind generally, along with that of its nominated subject' - Art Book Review

A beautiful book presenting the preparatory works and visual musings of Eric Ravilious.

Eric Ravilious was an English designer, wood-engraver and illustrator born in July 1903. He took his scrapbooks very seriously and saw them as tools of his trade to preserve source material as well as his own work.

The book brings together newspaper photographs of parachutists, tennis players and women in cloche hats that would later appear in his designs as well as sketches and early proofs of his work in progress.  A fascinating insight into the imagination of one of Britain's best-loved artists.
