Shipping Information


Packaging

We work hard to ensure that your books reach you in mint condition. We therefore spend time thoroughly inspecting all books before they are sent out to customers to ensure that there has been no damage incurred in the warehouse.  We package our books in robust cardboard book wraps. While it is not the prettiest packaging, we believe that it offers the best protection for books in transit. 

Delivery and despatch

Goods are sent by post or courier and a signature may be required on delivery.

Availability

We hold many books in our UK and US warehouses and are able to despatch goods that we hold in stock within 2 working days. For some items, we need to order in books from publishers and this may take up to 10 working days before we can despatch them. If there is a delay longer than 10 working days in sourcing books from publishers, we will email customers to let them know estimated delivery times. 

Delivery and despatch

Goods sent in the UK should take 10-15 business days. Goods outside the UK are sent by post unless otherwise requested, taking approximately 15-20  working days. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your product to reach you, may vary. Please note that when shipping abroad, very occasionally, goods can be delayed in customs for up to 6 weeks.

Returns 

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 28 days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at caroline@museumbookstore.com.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send an email to caroline@museumbookstore.com and we will advise you on the next steps.

Shipping 

To return your product, you should email caroline@museumbookstore.com and we will advise you where to send your product. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over £30, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
