Museum Bookstore specialises in exquisite and richly illustrated books from museums across the globe.

The idea is to create a single place that draws together exhibition catalogues from museums across the globe – a go-to place for museum lovers whether they want to read up on an exhibition they are about to visit; read more about an exhibition being held far afield or revisit an old favourite show.

We scour the world for books accompanying new exhibitions and exciting museums as well as rare historic catalogues. We carry books from world famous museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Gallery and the Louvre Museum as well as lesser known museums such as the Simone Handbag Museum in South Korea and the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe.

Our collection includes educational art books to read, photo books to admire beautiful images, inspiring books to cultivate creativity, and coffee table books that stand out.

Unlike most online bookstores, we handpick our books and only feature the cream of the crop from a range of small independent art and museum publishers. We commission reviews from enthusiasts and experts, publish video reviews and write descriptions that give you a good sense of what to expect from a book.

We like to give something back. We run Museum Freecycle - a network to encourage reuse and recycling in the museum sector and the first industry wide freecycle group in the world.
