The works showcased include an important loan from Intesa Sanpaolo collection - from Gallerie d'Italia Napoli - The Martyrdom of Saint Ursula, Merisi’s last painting done shortly before his death; Saint Catherine from the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza; Martha and Mary Magdalene from the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Cardsharps from the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.
