A rare and important catalogue of Lucian Freud's first retrospective exhibition in 1974

Lucian Freud was a British painter and draughtsman, specialising in figurative art, and is known as one of the foremost 20th-century portraitists. His first solo exhibition was at the Hayward Gallery in London in 1974 and was organized by the Arts Council of Great Britain.

The exhibition toured several other art galleries in Bristol, Birmingham  and Leeds. The publication shows 132 of his works through black and white illustrations and a thoughtful introduction by John Russell.
