Published to accompany the landmark retrospective exhibition of Sol LeWitt’s innovative wall drawings on view for 25 years at Mass MoCA and conceived by the Yale University Art Gallery in collaboration with the artist before his death in April 2007, this book celebrates the artist’s illustrious 50-year career. 

The accessible paperback volume includes a colorful collection of 100 personal essays and meditations on the artist’s work, persona, and philosophy penned by curators, art critics, writers, composers, and artists to honor LeWitt’s legacy as a pioneer of Minimal and Conceptual art. A checklist of the 105 large-scale conceptual drawings included in the exhibition and lists of selected exhibition history and bibliography round out the publication.
