Will Eisner: A Centennial Celebration
Regular price £39.95A handsome book tracing Will Eisner's development and growth as a comic artist
The legacy that Will Eisner (1917-2005) had on sequential art cannot be overstated. In the course of his long career, Eisner had a lasting influence on comics, not only through his works – from The Spirit in the 1940s to A Contract with God in 1978 – but also by initiating new ways of thinking and talking about the format.
This catalogue for an exhibition taking place in 2017 at Le Musée de la Bande Dessinée in Angouleme and the Society of Illustrators in New York, features over 175 selected illustrations, reproduced from the original artwork.
